Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive Adelaide

Arrive in Adelaide and check in to the Stamford Plaza Adelaide. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 – Adelaide & Hahndorf

Enjoy a full-day tour showcasing Adelaide’s highlights and the scenic Adelaide Hills, including Mt Lofty Summit and historic Hahndorf.

Day 3 – Adelaide to Kangaroo Island

Travel to Kangaroo Island and visit Seal Bay Conservation Park, Flinders Chase National Park, Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch. Enjoy lunch and visit Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park to see native wildlife up close.

Day 4 – Kangaroo Island to Adelaide

Discover Kangaroo Island’s local attractions, including Raptor Domain, Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, Clifford’s Honey Farm, Pennington Bay and False Cape Wines. Return to Adelaide by ferry and coach.

Day 5 – Board the Murray Princess

Transfer to historic Mannum and board the Murray Princess. Enjoy a Welcome Dinner as you cruise upriver and settle into your overnight mooring at Caurnamont.

Day 6 – Cruise the Murray River

Cruise towards Blanchetown, passing through one of the Murray’s locks. Enjoy wine tasting at Burk Salter Boutique Winery before an evening of entertainment and the Murray River Cup.

Day 7 – Swan Reach & Sunnydale

Explore picturesque Swan Reach and visit the local museum before cruising to Sunnydale for a traditional Woolshed Show, Native Wildlife Shelter visit and Aussie Barbecue.

Day 8 – Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve

Cruise through the scenic Murray landscape to Ngaut Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve for a guided tour and glimpse into the region’s ancient Aboriginal history. Enjoy a final night dinner and entertainment onboard.

Day 9 – Disembark & Depart Adelaide

Return to Mannum and disembark after breakfast. Transfer back to Adelaide for your onward journey home.

FAQs

The PS Murray Princess has 60 cabins and staterooms, each with a private bathroom ensuite, electric blankets, soap, shampoo, towels, hairdryers, and daily servicing. Each cabin is approximately 12sq metres. Four of the outside cabins and their ensuite bathrooms are wheelchair accessible. Two cabins located on Randell Deck are opposite the lift for easy access to the dining and lounge decks.

Inside Cabin:

Inside cabins are located on the lower Chaffey Deck and open onto a wide inside passageway. Inside cabins offer twin bedding, with limited double-bedded cabins available, and have portholes facing the outside. Inside Cabins are accessed via stairs; there is no lift access to this deck.

Outside Cabin:

Outside cabins are located on Randell and Cadell Decks, and the majority of these cabins have twin bedding, with limited double-bedded cabins available. Each outside cabin opens onto the outside deck walkway with picture windows to view the passing scenery.

Stateroom:

The spacious Staterooms are located on the Randell and Cadell decks. Each stateroom offers a queen bed (some have an extra single bed) and opens onto the outside deck walkway. Mini-bars, fridges and tea and coffee making facilities are also included.

Dressing for your cruise

During the day, sportswear and casual clothing are suggested. We kindly ask that you do not wear bathing suits, singlets, or brief attire in public rooms and lounges, especially in the dining room. Footwear is requested in both the dining room and lounges at all times. During the evening, smart casual wear is recommended – an open neck shirt and trousers for gentlemen and a dress, skirt or pants and blouse for the ladies. At the Captains Dinner on the final night of the cruise, a jacket and tie would not be out of place for gentlemen and a cocktail dress or pants outfit for the ladies. Be sure to bring a sun visor or hat, sunglasses and good sun block/sun screen. Sandals, low-heeled deck shoes and tennis shoes are most suitable on-deck and for onshore excursions.

Above fares are based on cabins with 2 x single beds. Inside and Outside Cabins with a double bed incur a surcharge of $80 per room per night (no surcharge applies for Staterooms).
Prices exclude onboard drinks, optional tours and services and any personal purchases aboard the Murray Princess.
